Leadeship Communication skills: make maximum impact on maximum people

You are not what you say although what you say represents some of your views, feelings and information.Most of the people talk about the information they have of different things.The information does not really reflect their inner self.The information is what they have learnt, not what they believe in or what they feel.What you say represents your state at a particular moment.You may not mean at all what you say or you mean what you do not say.You may not believe in what you say or you may believe in them.What you say maybe instinctively or it may be thought out carefully.The result is that what you say does show how you are, not what you are.
What you say gives impressions to other people and project an image of you in other people. That image maybe genuine or false. What you say is less important than how you say it.All of communication skills experts believe that the way you say something is more important than what you say.What you say does not represent you but how you say it represents you.How you say something involves your body posture, your feelings, your skills, the tone of your speech and the tune that you employ to express yourself.What you say is affected by your mental states and your body state.Therefore what you say can make a great difference and how you say it can make even bigger difference, a greater difference in the effectiveness of your expression.
As what you say and how you say it make other people judge you and this judgment may stay for a long time in their minds, the following tips may help you in expressing yourself in an appealing way:
1. After thinking what you say, think how you want to say it.
2. Never say a word when you are not sure that the way you say it is the way that you want other people to know you.
3. The way you say something is the way that people would know you. You, therefore, have to be very careful in expressing your character to other people.
4. Although what you say is not what you are not, what you say and how you say it express a lot of your being.
5. Prepare what you say as the words can make a great impact.Choose your words very carefully before you say something and think what other words you could have used to have had more impact.
6. Never choose the words that you cannot be proud of saying them later.
7. Never says something that you may regret one day.
8. When you decide what to say and you have chosen the words, think of the best and most suitable state that can make maximum impact on maximum people.
9. Choose your mental state first.Ask yourself what kind of state of mind I want to create in the other side.This state of mind that you are in will create the state of mind of other people and therefore if you are angry in what you say, what would you say will make other people angry.If your mental state is a happy state, you create a happy state in other people.
10. Remember that you transfer your mental state to other people.When people hear you they will adopt your mental state and will carry out the impressions you have created in them as positive or negative impact.
11. Whatever you say will be more meaningful if you find the right way of saying it using your body posture and facial movements.You can say the best thing in a bad manner and it will give a bad impression.
12. If you have a message to pass to your audience, think of the consequences of this message.What they would think after they heard the message depend on the way it was delivered.Package it in nice feelings. Your message will not be finished quickly and will continue in other people for some time and form the image that you have made in them.
13. What other people think of you is what you have given to them.It may not be a genuine image as the people judge you according to their own liking and disliking.If people do not like you, they will change the meaning of your message to give it a bad meaning.Make sure that those who like you will get an accurate meaning of what you want to say.The meaning of what you say must be very clear.There is a lot of room for misunderstanding.Those who like you, want to have a positive impression and those who do not like you, want to get a negative impression from you even if you make the slightest mistake.
14. The meaning of the message becomes more appealing if your message becomes more comprehensive and inclusive of all aspirations of the audience.Your mission becomes more important if you can say it in the way that the audience love to hear.
15. Any sign of frustration and anger in your expression show your vulnerability as a communicator. Unwanted feelings and mental states will affect your communication negatively.When you want to articulate a message you have to decide the tune of articulating the message.If you allow unwanted feelings and states to change the tune of your articulation, you will not be able to pass your message to create maximum impact on maximum people.
